Gifts to Campus Improvements contribute to...
Wheaton's extraordinary campus serves as a reflection of our student-centered mission, and even with all of its historic charm, the college needs to enhance the campus infrastructure to support the innovative and high-quality curricular and co-curricular programs that shape the student experience. During President Hanno's tenure, Wheaton has seen significant campus improvements in residential, dining and academic experiences.
Creating new spaces
The construction of Pine Hall expanded housing capacity and created new spaces for community gatherings and programming while meeting the rigorous Passive House Standard for environmental conservation and sustainability. The Diana Davis Spencer Discovery Center, within the old science center, features renovated spaces that will serve as the home for the business & management and psychology departments, the social entrepreneurship programs, and the Fab Lab makerspace as well as the Filene Center for Academic Advising and Career Services.
Building on green initiatives
Wheaton has incorporated sustainability into as many campus projects as possible, including the creation of a solar farm, the installation of filtered water stations throughout the campus and the encouragement and support of student theme-based residences that focus on conservation.
Continue preserving the campus we all know and love with a gift through the Wheaton Fund that will enable the college to invest in campus improvements.
President Hanno has been an innovative leader who has made significant contributions and inspired and created change that will benefit this institution and students for generations to come. As president, his incredible energy and abundance of good cheer instilled pride in Wheaton that students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, and friends will carry with them forever.
