Gifts to The Wheaton Edge contribute to...
The Wheaton Edge prepares students for success after graduation. It combines guaranteed access to internship funding with a highly personalized education in the liberal arts and sciences, innovative and interdisciplinary curriculum, and abundant opportunities to engage in and shape the campus community.
During President Hanno's tenure, he has championed experiential learning as a campus priority so that Wheaton students can access and receive funding for internships, research collaborations, and independent projects. With $1.2M invested annually, Wheaton students have worked across the country and world applying their knowledge and skills to challenges in a real-world setting. This year, in recognition for his leadership in promoting experiential education at Wheaton College, President Hanno was awarded the 2021 William M. Burke Presidential Award for Excellence in Experiential Education—by The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars and The National Society for Experiential Education.
Continue President Hanno's legacy by investing in Wheaton's experiential learning opportunities so Wheaton students can continue to test out their skills beyond the classroom, giving them the Wheaton Edge in a competitive global market.
President Hanno has been an innovative leader who has made significant contributions and inspired and created change that will benefit this institution and students for generations to come. As president, his incredible energy and abundance of good cheer instilled pride in Wheaton that students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, and friends will carry with them forever.
