About

The strength of the Wheaton community has always been grounded in the values at the heart of our distinctive liberal arts mission.

As a member of the Wheaton community, you play an essential role in the life of the college. Your philanthropic support has helped Wheaton achieve a ten percent growth in enrollment since 2014, increase financial aid and internship opportunities for students, and invest in our campus living and learning spaces.

The Board of Trustees understands how critical Wheaton Fund support is to the college—every year. With the fundraising year closing on June 30, they have come together to issue a $100,000 Trustee Challenge to close the gap on the Wheaton Fund goal of $5 million.

Your Wheaton Fund gift will provide immediate and impactful support to the bottom-line operating budget of every academic department and administrative office on campus. Every dollar counts. Every gift makes a difference and will bring the Wheaton Fund one step closer to achieving the $100,000 Trustee Challenge.

Join fellow alumni, parents, and friends to help unlock the $100,000 Trustee Challenge. Please show your support with a Wheaton Fund gift today.

Your support keeps the Wheaton community connected, safe, and resilient.

Community Building: Wheaton believes that learning and growing extend beyond the classroom and can be just as important and instructive. That is why opportunities are always available for students to become an important part of a community that supports individual expression and collective responsibility. With more than 100 student organizations and myriad activities that enrich campus life, Wheaton is a place to nurture existing passions and discover new talents, friends, and goals. With an investment in Wheaton's campus life, you help maintain a community where inspiration, potential, and innovation outside the classroom continue to be a hallmark of the Wheaton journey.

COVID-19 Mitigation: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wheaton Fund has been a community resiliency fund. Operating costs associated with the health and safety measures implemented on campus in response to COVID-19 are estimated at $6.5 million. In addition, your Wheaton Fund support is helping to defray the expense of extensive testing and PPE, along with academic technology and classroom modifications for remote learning.

Student Relief Fund: Wheaton has recognized that many of our students have experienced financial hardships during these difficult and uncertain times. Contributions to the Student Relief Fund will directly benefit Wheaton students and provide relief for financial hardships, which have and will continue to be experienced by our students. In addition, your contributions will help to continue to aid the college's response to; housing and food insecurity, travel expenses related to returning home, technology needs to ensure students have access to remote learning, and other unforeseen financial challenges.

Your donation can enrich minds, support active lifestyles, and sustain our beautiful campus

Library Resouces: Wheaton's students, faculty, and staff constantly partner with the Madeleine Clark Wallace Library on academic and intellectual activities in their ultimate pursuit of knowledge. The Wallace Library offers the community extensive tangible and digitized resources from the library, collections, and the Gebbie Archives & Special Collections. With an investment in the library and archives, you help maintain Wheaton's rich history and provide materials such as textbooks and databases, technology resources, and study spaces needed by students to succeed academically at Wheaton.

Sustainability: At Wheaton, a commitment to sustainability permeates everything we do—shaping our curricula, clean energy practices, and way of life. With an investment in Wheaton's commitment to sustainability, you support a community that prepares its students to tackle issues as environmental leaders, commit to environmentally sound practices, and shape a sustainable legacy for future generations.

Athletics & Campus Recreation: Wheaton athletics and recreational programs offer invaluable opportunities to build connections, develop leadership skills, and sustain a healthy and active lifestyle. Wheaton students are an active bunch—about half of our students participate in varsity or recreational sports—and they have a lot of options to choose from. An investment in our athletic and recreational programs will maintain our recreational equipment & facilities, attract and retain top-rated coaches as well as keeping all of our students moving!

Science, Technology & Teaching Tools: Wheaton is becoming a leader in integrating technology throughout academic and co-curricular life. From our new state-of-art classrooms and laboratories to our community members accessing Wi-Fi on the Dimple, Wheaton is constantly looking into new ways to integrate technology on campus. Your donation helps to support the spirit of inquiry and experimentation that is central to the innovative learning that permeates the Wheaton campus.

Academic & Faculty Support: Our faculty build relationships that inspire and sustain. It is common for Wheaton students to know their professors as teachers, mentors, and often as friends. Wheaton believes education is an active pursuit and our faculty share their experiences and expertise at the intersection of theory and practice. As recognized leaders in liberal arts education and their fields of specialty, our faculty members are crucial to the personalized education and remarkable growth experienced by all Wheaton students. Your gift can help maintain the high standard of academic excellence and rigor, which continues to be a cornerstone of the Wheaton experience.

Arts & Cultural Learning: The arts at Wheaton bring students together, enable them to take risks, and give them a creative voice within our community. Through the performing, visual and cultural arts, we see community members woven together through empathy, communication, and shared experience. With an investment in the arts at Wheaton, you help provide the opportunity for our imaginative community to celebrate the present, honor the past, and dream of the future through their creative expression.

Experiential Learning & Internships: Wheaton excels in providing myriad opportunities to put learning into action—through internships, research collaborations, independent projects, and more. Your donation helps provide the opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills to challenges in a real-world setting which will give them the Wheaton Edge in a competitive global market.
